Since the first conference of the european ministers for education in the year 1999
there have been numerous attacks on the freedom and nature of education
and the educational facilities in all of Europe:

1. The educational facilities are supposed to be turned into enterprises
competing for funding money and students, which they can pick
according to their own criteria. Their success is only measured by
their ability to bring forth so called high level managing personnel
with the economic skill that the market requires.

2. All subjects offered, have to be approved by a central committee. All
subjects that don't have a function for the economic system will
vanish, which poses a clear and obvious instrumentalization of
education.

3. The new credit point system clearly has the goal of forming rich elites,
perverting the sense and nature of education.

4. The reform is supposed to increase the students and teachers
participation in the education system and its changes. Nothing has
been changed in this regard and all the changes and reforms are done
without even asking the students for their opinion.

5. The tuition fees turn education into a good, only available to those who
can afford it. This will further deepen the gaps in our society and
increase the injustice of the whole system.

Plenary meeting on educational 'reforms': Turkey, Germany, Denmark

WE DEMAND:

1. Education must be an unalienated right.

2. Education must be gratuit, laicist and free
regarding to the time required and the place chosen.

3. The access to education must be free regardless to class, ethnic and sex.

4. Educational facilities must remain independent institutions of education
and knowledge and mustn't be turned into enterprises.

5. Only an antiimperialist and antifascist education is a free education.

The necessity of coordinating the fights of the youth at the European
level grows stronger and stronger every day.
The reform of Bologna is an attack on all the fundamental rights of all
the European students, without any exception.

We felt the need to weave a network for the struggle at the European level.
We indeed think that all the different fights have a common aim: the struggle
against the European Union and its ultra-liberal policy.

While actively leading the fight in each of the countries,
we think that it is essential to establish a real coordination of the movements to give itself
a common perspective.

We have to spread the substance of this message among
all the European youth and not only at the universities but also
among the precarious hard-working youth and all the youth in general.

Spread our conviction that the fight must be lead more effective,
coordinated and thereby powerfull.

The force of the youth lies in its unity!!!
